1. Who is this for?

Axelroad is for beginners who are new to strength training and want to build an exercise habbit. The app uses gamification to help users with consistency.

2. Why does this app exist?

The primary goal is to make it easy to start and stay consistent with training. Many beginners struggle with sticking to a routine, so our app is designed to lower the barrier to entry and help build a long-term exercise habit.

3. What workout programs does Axelroad offer?

Axelroad currently offers the Basic Beginner training program, inspired by The Fitness Wiki. It is designed to help beginners build strength and consistency through a structured workout plan.

4. Do I need to go to the gym, or can I train at home?

The first chapter (9 missions, 3 weeks) are bodyweight exercises. You don’t need any equipment and you can do it at home. 

Chapter 2 (15 missions, 5 weeks) uses dumbbells, which will most easily and cost-effectively be found at a gym. If you’re working out at home, adjustable dumbbells are the most cost-effective and space-effective. At home, you will also need a superband (the lightest set is fine) at home for lat pulldowns). 

Chapter 3 (12 missions, 4 weeks) uses a barbell, a rack, and plates, which are quite expensive to obtain at home. So by this phase, you will almost certainly want to have located a gym with barbells. 

5. How many days per week should I train?

We suggest a three-day-per-week routine. This makes it easier for beginners to stick with while avoiding burnout.

6. Can I customize my workout plan?

Yes, you can customize the number of reps and weights for each exercise. We are working on adding additional features which will enable further modifications and program selection. Stay tuned!

7. How does Axelroad keep me motivated?

Axelroad uses gamification to make workouts fun and engaging. You progress along an interactive path, earn XP, level up, and complete missions to stay on track and build a workout habit.

8. Can I track my progress in the app?

Yes, Axelroad tracks your completed workouts, XP earned, and levels gained to show your progress over time.

9. Is Axelroad free to use?

Axelroad is free to download and use.

10. How do I reset my password?
  • Open the Axelroad app and go to the Login screen.
  • Tap Forgot Password and follow the instructions.
11. How can I report a bug or suggest a feature?
  • Use the Shake to Report Feedback feature in the app.

12. How do I enable "Shake to Report Feedback"?
  • Open the Axelroad app and go to Profile → Settings.
